Thank you so much for helping me find the perfect puppy! Charlie is such a joy in my life and I couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a miniature dachshund. I have been extremely impressed and pleased with your breeding services. From day one, you answered all of my questions in a timely manner and gave me countless tips for raising/training Charlie. I have appreciated how you have stayed in touch with me throughout the process. I appreciated the weekly updated pictures, the tips for raising/training, and aftercare advice from your house to mine. You allowed me to visit Charlie at 6 weeks and let me stay as long as I wanted, which showed me how genuine you and your husband are and that you truly care about the well-being of the puppies you breed. Charlie has been doing very well at home with me. He is enjoying playing with his new toys, loves to take walks and play fetch. He is such a ball of energy and a bundle of joy. Thank you so much for providing all of Charlie’s paperwork and giving me extra pictures, toys, food, etc. with his puppy kit when I picked him up. Your care and love for your puppies is profoundly evident. You come highly recommended in my book.

People who have never owned a mini-dachshund don't know what they're missing!
Lee and I were thrilled to find Shirley online . By exploring her website, we could feel
the love and concern she and her family have for their adult dogs and newborn puppies.
In March 2009 we Emailed Shirley to reserve a puppy. She immediately called back
and answered all our questions and concerns about getting one so soon after our 12-yearold
mini-dachshund died. Also, we have a 12-year-old Australian cattle dog, so we were
concerned how they would get along considering the difference in sizes!
Matt came into our lives in April 2009, the first born of Conway and Paisley's April
29th litter. Daily “visits” to Shirl's website during the following weeks enabled us to
watch Matt grow because Shirl takes weekly photos of all the puppies.
Matt has a wonderful temperament. He is loving and playful. He gets along well with
our dog, Candy, and is sociable with visitors and other animals. This, we feel, is due to
the time Shirley and her family spent with Matt and his litter mates in their first weeks.
At Matt's first visit to our vet, the doctor was very impressed with the complete
documentation Shirley kept of Matt's shots and other veterinary visits and procedures.
The housebreaking process has been slow, but is improving. I have spoken with Shirley
about house training, and she was generous with her time. She also directed me to
several websites which proved very helpful.
We highly recommend Shirl's Whispering Winds to anyone considering a “new
member” for their family. She is always available to offer advice and answer questions
during your pup's development. She is a wealth of knowledge! She has a heart FULL of
love for animals AND people!

My name is David Luongo and I purchased my dog "Stella" from Shirley back in March of this year. I was referred to Shirley by my cousin whom purchased her dog (Maggie) from Shirley last year . Shirley was very prompt with emailing me and keeping in touch with weekly photos of the puppies. When I met my dog Stella for the first time at Shirley's home it was very obvious that Shirley and her family go above and beyond in taking care of each and every Dachshund of hers.
I will be very honest and say that finding honest people is a hard thing to do especially when buying a puppy. I felt very comfortable from start to finish with the whole process of getting Stella. If I had a question I asked, and got a honest up front answer. I never had doubts in my mind over anything. Just wanted to thank you for taking such great care of Stanley. He's actually doing really well. a little shakey in the beginning of the car ride. and now that he's home he ate a few bites and ten was looking sleepy. I put him in his bed which he loved and now he's snuggling with one the toys that smells like your house. thank you so much!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything. merlin is such a good boy and has become very comfy in his new home. so far he has pretty much slept through the nights (only had to take him out once
sat night and once Sunday night). he has had few accidents in the house which is awesome. he literally knows his name, how to sit, how to come, he can fetch and drop the little tennis ball you gave us. he's such a love bug. he's great around people and the ferrets and yeah. u will have pictures soon of him and u will love them!

"I am writing to let those of you know what a great experience it was getting our puppy, Prince from Shirley. She was extremely helpful and after seeing her home full of such adorable dachshunds, I knew that I was in the right place. I had many questions about getting a new puppy, and she was patient with me in answering. When picking up Prince, we received all his shot records and birth certificate along with several toys and a blanket that smelled like the house and his mother. I adopted Prince from Shirley as a Christmas gift for my wife and we are absolutely in love with him!
Prince is a perfect little puppy. He is healthy and happy and extremely well behaved and he has been a wonderful addition to our family. He also gets along very well with my niece and nephew! Being good with kids is important for us since we plan on having some soon ;).He has been to the vet several times to get his shots and each time the vet has commented what a great and handsome dog we chose.

Chester's been home for 5 days now and is doing very well. He's even slept through the night in his crate for the last 2 nights! Thanks to Shirley and Ed who helped start his crate training before we picked him up. We're very happy with our decision to buy our puppy from Shirls Whispering Winds. Shirley, Ed and their children treat all their dogs like family, which I'm sure helps with the transition to the dogs' new families. I would happily recommend Shirls Whispering Winds to anyone looking for a mini.
